Zion James, the No. 33 pick, averaged 8.6 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game, shooting 52.3% from the field and 52.8% from three-point range (second in the league).
No. 34 pick Kalkbrenner averaged 9.9 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.4 blocks per game this season (ranked second in the league), and shot 83.3% from the field (ranked first in the league).
The new Hornets averaged 38.7 points per game, also ranking first in the league.
In the latest list of new players officially released by the NBA, Knipel ranked first and Kalkbrenner ranked fifth. The Hornets currently rank fourth from last in the Eastern Conference with a record of 4 wins and 8 losses.
