De Sky: Dortmund inspects Feyenoord midfielder Timber, the player’s contract expires next summer
6686 Sports November 11 According to German Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenberg, the Bundesliga's Borussia Dortmund has inspected Dutch international midfielder Quinten Timber of Feyenoord in the Eredivisie. The player's contract expires next summer.
Quinten Timber can leave the team as a free agent next summer, so Dortmund is inspecting the Dutch international, but there is no formal contact between the two parties at this stage, and Feyenoord is also working hard to retain Timber, hoping to extend his contract.
The 24-year-old Timber came from the Ajax youth training camp. He joined Utrecht from the Ajax youth team in the summer of 2021 and moved to Feyenoord a year later. While playing for Feyenoord, Timber helped the team win the Eredivisie championship in the 2022-23 season, the Dutch Cup championship in the 2023-24 season and the Dutch Super Cup championship in 2025.
For Dortmund, if they want to introduce Timber, the team first needs to clear out redundant personnel. The midfielders Ozcan and Gross may leave the team, both of whose contracts expire next summer.
