Saka: We have a chance to beat France in Qatar, let bygones be bygones
6686 Sports November 14th Arsenal player Saka accepted an interview with the BBC. In the interview, he talked about the upcoming World Cup and recalled the experience of the last World Cup.
Now that you have set the World Cup as your goal at the end of the season, how important is this in your mind?
Of course, this is always on my mind. Although it still feels far away, the time will come soon. The World Cup is fantastic, it's one of the most important tournaments in the world and everyone wants to be a part of it. So the key now is to maintain good competitive form and performance, strive to be selected for the England team, and have the opportunity to participate in the World Cup. After all, opportunities like this don’t come around very often, so you have to enjoy them.
The last time you had a taste of the World Cup was in Qatar. Do you still remember that feeling?
It was a wonderful World Cup and my first. I still remember my debut, I scored two goals and the joy was indescribable. Being able to stand on the World Cup field, I enjoy every moment. Of course, it's a pity that we were eliminated by France. I always felt that we had a chance to win that game. But let bygones be bygones, I hope we can go further this time.
