Turkish Football Association: 102 players involved in illegal investments have been banned, including 25 players from the Turkish Super League
6686 Sports reported on November 13 that the Professional Football Disciplinary Committee of the Turkish Football Association announced the suspension of 102 players suspected of participating in illegal investments. The suspension period ranged from 45 days to 12 months. Among them, 56 people were banned for 45 days, 25 were banned for 3 months, 10 were banned for 6 months, 5 were banned for 9 months, 5 were banned for 1 year, and the case of one person is still under investigation.
Among the banned players, there are 25 players who played in the Turkish Super League, involving 13 Turkish Super League teams. Among them, Turkish international Elmal, who plays for Galatasaray, was suspended for 45 days.
Previously, the Turkish Football Association announced that a total of 1,024 players were investigated by the Turkish Football Disciplinary Committee for suspected illegal investment and match manipulation.
