Mirror: The results of Manchester City's 115 violations are expected to be announced before the end of the year
6686 Sports, November 12 According to the "Mirror" report, since Manchester City was accused by the Premier League of violating financial regulations in February 2023, the case trial has entered the final stage, and the final penalty is expected to be announced before the end of 2025.
The Premier League filed a total of 115 charges against Manchester City, including 54 false financial information, 14 salary declaration violations, 7 Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR) violations, and multiple failures to cooperate with investigations and violations of UEFA's Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations. The charges cover multiple seasons from 2009 to 2018.
Manchester City firmly denies all accusations of violation, saying it has submitted "conclusive and irrefutable evidence" and looks forward to "thorough proof of innocence" through the independent committee's trial. It is reported that the committee started the hearing process as early as September last year, which lasted about 12 weeks. During the period, it reviewed more than 250,000 documents, and the final report is expected to be hundreds of pages long.
If Manchester City is found guilty of violating the rules, the Premier League has the right to impose the highest level of punishment, including fines, deductions of points, deprivation of past championship titles, and even expulsion from the Premier League.
