Walter Mader: This has been a crazy year, nothing to take for granted & I will continue to work hard
6686 Sports News on November 13 In an interview with many German media including RTL TV, Walter Mader bluntly stated that 2025 will be a "crazy year" for him.
This year, 23-year-old Walter Mader has soared from a reserve player of Stuttgart to a core member of the German national team. Even he himself can hardly believe this leap.
"Yeah, sometimes it's really hard to put into words. I often don't have time to appreciate it," Waltermade said of his "crazy year" in 2025. "A year like this is not taken for granted. I am grateful for it and hope to continue working hard for more wonderful moments like this."
In October, when Germany defeated Northern Ireland 1-0, Walter Mader scored his first national team goal - and he scored from the top of the ball.
"I practice heading the ball two to three times a week. Someone will feed me the ball during practice, and I need to use superb skills to top the ball into the net," Waltermade said about his heading practice. "I am very happy to see that these hard work are paying off. So I will continue to persevere and look forward to reaping the results in the future."
