Embiid talks about playing time limit: Expect to start playing longer like today
6686 Sports News on October 26th. In a regular season that ended today, the 76ers defeated the Hornets 125-121 at the home court and achieved two consecutive victories in the opening season.
In this game, Embiid played 20 minutes, shooting 7 of 11, scoring 20 points, 2 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 interceptions.
After the game, Embiid was interviewed and talked about issues related to playing time.
He said that if he had to accept playing time restrictions, he would rather use a normal rotation pattern and play longer periods of time like he did today, rather than playing in four short periods like he did in Boston.
Embid also said that he does not expect any restrictions at all. He also revealed that he explicitly asked himself to be more aggressive than he was in the opening game against the Celtics.
Coach Nick Nurse said he spent most of Embiid's minutes in the first half because he played so well. They want to build on the victory and don't expect him to sit out for long periods of time.
"I'm looking forward to his playing time limit being lifted." Nurse said.
In the opening game against the Celtics, Embiid also played 20 minutes, making 1 of 9 shots, scoring 4 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 block.
