US media: Former NBA player Tony Allen has been arrested on suspicion of drug crimes
6686 Sports November 6 According to a report from the Arkansas State Police, former Memphis Grizzlies player Tony Allen was arrested on drug charges during a traffic check in Poinsett County.
The police report stated: "When the law enforcement officers came into contact with the people in the car, they noticed a strong smell of marijuana coming from the car, and immediately asked the two people to get out of the car."
The police officers searched Allen and found a bag of marijuana on him; they also found multiple pieces of drug paraphernalia with marijuana residue in the car, and Hatton admitted that these paraphernalia belonged to him.
When the police further searched the vehicle, they found a cigarette box in the passenger seat next to Allen's seat. The box contained a white powdery substance. Subsequent tests confirmed that the substance was cocaine.
In March of this year, the Grizzlies held a ceremony to retire the No. 9 uniform for Tony Allen after the game against the Heat at home.
